US troops again in Tell Abyad
After the conflict between the Turkish Army Forces [TSK] and the PYD on the Syrian border, while the option of Turkiye's intervene in Tell Abyad is on the table, the US troops were seen again in Raqqa’s Tell Abyad.
After the hot hours between the TSK and PYD on the Syrian border, US soldiers were again screened in Raqqa’s Tell Abyad.
In order to prevent the intervention of Turkiye to Tell Abyad, the US came to the agenda before by raising their flags in many different points of the city, an now it took attention that the US troops are seen in the city after the conflict took place between Turkiye and PYD.
Following the Sinjar operation, the PYD attacked with mortars to Turkiye's 11 border posts. Following the hot clashes in the border regions under the control of the PYD, the TSK continues to make intensive military shipments, especially to the border region across Tell Abyad.
According to information from local sources; Turkiye is aiming those regions captured by PYD to be ruled by local people which is seen threat to itself for a long time, especially in Tell Abyad. Within this scope, it is stated that a large number of FSA [Free Syrian Army] troops, trained by the TSK, are going to be placed in the areas to be taken back.
Speaking at the 7th Annual General Meeting of the TÜMSİAD, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also gave intervention message to the PYD region by saying “we might come all of a sudden one night”.
Erdoğan said, “There it is Tal Afar, and Sinjar, what happened? An operation carried out on Sinjar and an operation on the other side. We have taken about 210-22 terrorists there and we hit the most important centers there. Why? Because there is not game to play with this nation, everyone will see this. So we know very well what to do when its time comes. We might come one night all of a sudden. Now they will shake their threats. If we have looked to these threats, and we were acting according to these threats, our Lord would not have given us these days.”
Against all these developments, both in the Syrian side and the civilian population on the side of Turkiye remain uneasy. (Osman Gülebak - ILKHA)
