Orphan Association will marry 22 couples in Diyarbakır
Orphan Association will marry 22 couples who cannot afford marriage expense in Diyarbakir as part of the “Step to the Peace” project.
Orphans Association [Yetim-Der] which founded in 2010, continues to carry out various projects in order to contribute to orphans.
Within the scope of the “Step to the Peace” project initiated by Orphan Association in 2011, 22 orphans will be married who insufficient financial status.
Fikri Karavil, Chairman of the Orphan Association said that they have financial and spiritual help for the young people who cannot get married.
Explaining that they will do 22 couple's wedding on Sunday, July 2, Karavil said that they are waiting for the help from philanthropists on this subject.
Karavil, who stated that they organize the weddings of the couples, said, “We are signing different projects at different times as Orphan Association. We are not able to meet all these works alone we have done so far. Therefore we inform our public about their support for the project. We are planning to marry 22 couples within the scope of “Step to the Peace” project on July 2, 2017. I hope that we will do our couples weddings and provide white goods support.”
“We have helped 155 couples marry until today”
Karavil stated that they started this project to contribute to the young people who have financial difficulties in marriage, to give a little contribution and give courage and to avoid illicit cohabitation in the society, said: “We have helped 155 couples marry until today and will continue to help and support to this point. We expect charitable people who are willing to contribute to the married youth to donate to our association or support them in white goods and other materials.”
Karavil added that they would evaluate their applicants who are in the marriage help, saying, “Almost every year hundreds of thousands of young people marries. We have work in point to support a part of this. We have some criteria at the application point. In particular, we will give priority to our youth who grew up as orphan children.
