'July 15 resistance of Nation' in its first year
As the calendar leaves drops towards July 15, the epic resistance of a faithful nation that entered the first year, began to come flooding back like a strip of film.
A year passed after the coup attempt, which is a turning points for Turkiye on July 15th, was failed by the unprecedented resistance of the people. This resistance, bearing the color of freedom, which would not be forgotten for generations, gave a strong message against the global imperialist forces.
The Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Cherkess and even more believers who saw onscreen that the Istanbul Bosporus Bridge occupied by local collaborators of international powers, exhibited an example of honourary resistance to future generations.
The people who resisted the coup in the square were targeted by bullets, while some imams reading salavats in the mosques were being attacked by the putschist lovers.
On the one hand, while the public on the streets were squashed under the pallets of the tanks, the jets bombed the parliament building. July 15, the night of the great siege on all sides, witnessed the history of resistance that will not be forgotten throughout history.
While the chests were aimed by bullets at the Bosphorus Bridge, they gave messages to future generations. Instead of living under abasement, they pointed out that there was a martyrdom with a strange resistance.
Mahir Ayabak, who was the target of the coup de force at Atatürk Airport, fell to the soil at his 16-years-old just like Yasin Börü. His loss not only burned the heart of his mother, but the whole nation. Tradesman Celal Demir at his 68, Akif Kapaklı at his 63, hoseuwife Sevgi Yeşilyurt at her 51, construction worker Mehmet Karaaslan, Moroccan Jadoid Merroune, and many more have been sacrificed their life for the future not to be jailed.
While some people colored this resistance as democracy, some to nationalist lane, actually this resistance was reflecting the honorable stance of Islamic nation when takbirs were saying, salavats in mosques, performing salaat together in squares.
The color of the resistance in the squares was ‘Islam’ and its ‘faith’. July 15 has been a new milestone to say ‘enough’ and ‘stop’ for a nation that has lived cruelty with its west and east for almost a century.
The July 15 night, characterized as a new era of independence, was a victory night in which local collaborators and international powers were defeated. The nation had done what they had to done. They targeted their thousands of bodies against airplanes, tanks, and bullets for this purpose. Consequently gave 248 lives to the ground. The public wants nothing to be same after the unforgettable night that 2,196 people were hurt.
‘July 15 nation’ which gives great sacrifices, hopes a country that rules with justice, the military, police and bureaucracy guardianship are not internalized, a country that its differences are richness. (Zeki Aras, Mustafa Bikeç - ILKHA)
