'Unite to conquer Al-Quds again'
President of the High Islamic Committee in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam Sheikh Ikrima Sabri said that Islamic countries should unite such as Saladin to conquer Al-Quds again.
Jerusalem former Mufti, High Islamic Committee in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam Sheikh Ikrima Sabri who came to Turkiye’s Mardin to attend "International Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque" symposium which will be held at Mardin Artuklu University (MAU) tomorrow, spoke ILKHA.
Sheikh Ikrima who was wounded in the events during the zionist occupiers closed Haram al-Sheriff and martyred Muslims in Al-Aqsa Mosque, stated that his current situation is better. Mentioning about Muslims in al-Quds that they suffer a lot, Sheikh Ikrima stated that Jerusalem must be conquered again to end this pain.
Stressing that Al-Aqsa Mosque does not only belong to Palestinians but belong to all Muslims, Sheikh Ikrima drew attention that Jerusalem is the bleeding wounds of the Ummah and wrapping this wound is obligatory for all Muslims.
“The way Jerusalem can be free is through the union of Muslims”
Sheikh Ikrima, voicing that Muslims in Jerusalem are under persecution, said: “We never trust Israel, they can attack again at any moment and they can invade Masjid al-Aqsa again. Even now jews are in the masjid. And the excavation work in Masjid al-Aqsa is still going on. They want to destroy the Masjid al-Aqsa and build a permanent temple for them. For the freedom of Masjid al-Aqsa, Muslims must unite at first, we need to establish the wahdah, and we must be strong. Muslims in Jerusalem are under persecution and we are all expecting prayer from all. The way Jerusalem can be free is through the union of Muslims. " (M. Salih Keskin - ILKHA)
