Disabled young boy so determined to fast
The disabled young boy from Maden in Elazig expressed that he has been fasting the three months and his disability does not hinder his worships.
Young boy the resident of Maden said he has been fasting during the months of Rajab and Sha’ban before Ramadan and that his physical disability does not hinder his worships.
Mustafa Ozger living in Maden located in Elazig has a physical disability due to having a road traffic accident in 2001. Ozger made a call out to those who do not fast during Ramadan; we should put effort into following Allah’s commands.
Ozger will carry on his life on a wheelchair and he advices young people who don’t fast with examples of his life.
“Having a disability doesn’t hinder to worship”
“I fast regardless of my condition and thank God I don’t have a problem. Due to the road traffic accident I had in 2001 I had 49 broken bones in my body. I had several surgeries but I didn’t hinder to worship. I started fasting before Ramadan at the beginning of the three holy months. Allah gave me strength to fast during Rajab and Sha’ban and so I did. Having a disability doesn’t hinder to worship.” said Ozger.
"Youngsters, people not fasting, should not hinder their worship of fasting"
Ozger, who has to exercise regularly everyday carries on to say, "Due to arthritis in my body, I exercise regularly. I am able to carry out my needs comfortably. Regardless of my illness, I still fast. Youngsters, people not fasting, should not hinder their worship of fasting.”
Ozger also stated that he eats egg, cucumber and tomato in suhoor which keeps him vigorous for the day until iftar. (ILKHA)
