Flood in India: 80 dead
80 people died in India due to floods and landslides, many people were injured.
Floods and landslides took place in the northeastern region of India because of heavy rainfall. 80 people lost their lives in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur states resulting in floods and landslides affecting 58 regions.
The flood damage assessment work that many people are suffering continues. It was learned that Indian Space Research Organization officials will support studies.
It was reported that the flood came with the Brahmaputra River destroying the dikes, starting from China and reaching to the lands of India and Bangladesh after extreme rainfall.
While 2,500 villages in Assam state are reported to be inundated, the wounded continue to be treated.
On the other hand, the Turkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they shared the sufferings of the people of India in written statements about the subject.
“We have learned sadly that the loss of lives and injuries are the result of the flood in the provinces of Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh of India, and we share the pain of the Indian people with heart,” said in the statement. (Hamza Adiyaman - ILKHA)
