Sönmez describing the purpose of the Mavi Marmara Ship's departure, “Allah will account for what we responsible for. What are we responsible for? To judge justice on earth. Is there anything else important? The Mavi Marmara went on its way on this purpose. Sailed against the blockade on Gaza. Sailed to stop the bombardment on Gaza. Sailed because Palestine and Al-Quds are under occupation. The Mavi Marmara was not the first organization to break the Gaza blockade, it was the 9th organization.”
“When they detained us in Mavi Marmara ship, they asked why there are many Kurd participations”
Sönmez describing the massacre on Mavi Marmara ship, “They are allergies from the name of Saladin. They be frightened to death so that a Saladin will come out from here. When they detained us in the Mavi Marmara ship they were asking us why there was a lot of participation from the Kurds. It was a terrible thing for them that a man was killed from Diyarbakır. Because they fear that there will be another Saladin from here. For example, do you wonder how the Holy Birth activities that the Prophet Lovers Platform organize how evaluate in Hebrew? They are frightened to death.” (M. Hüseyin Temel - ILKHA)
