Pro-Orphan Association extends aid hand to Arakan
International Help Organization Pro-Orphans has extended a helping hand for a second time to the Arakanese Muslims who fled from the persecution of Myanmar government and buddhist gangs and took refuge to Bangladesh.
Arakanese, who escaped from the persecution of the Myanmar government and the Buddhist gangs and migrated to Bangladesh, have received aid from International Help Organization Pro-Orphans under “Emergency Assistance Activities”.
Thousands of Arakanese people lost their life because of the attacks, while tens of thousands of them have fallen to the migration routes. International Help Organization Pro-Orphans, which continue humanitarian aid to Arakanese people who have fled their country, took shelter to Bangladesh, and live under difficult circumstances, has been able to deliver the second part of its food aid to refugee camps in this country.
Hüseyin Ateş, Europe's Deputy Chairman of International Help Organization Pro-Orphans, explained that they have been carrying out humanitarian aid work for the region since the first day of the crisis in Arakan.
Calling to philanthropists, Ateş said, “Our humanitarian work with the help of philanthropists continues in Arakan to those displaced. We invite all those who are not silent to support once again. There is need of water, food, medicines, and tents urgently.”
Emphasizing that the number of Arakanese immigrants has also increased in parallel with the recent attacks, Ateş added that they want to bring more help to the Arakanese on their needs. (Hamza Korkut - ILKHA)
