Xanike martyrs were buried
Two members of HUDA PAR were buried today after being slaughtered with a shotgun by the HDP (Peoples Democratic Party) supporters in Xanike village, Sirnak.
HDP supporters in Xanike brutally killed Mehmet Serif Simsek and Abdulcelil Talayhan, both members of HUDA PAR, with a shotgun yesterday. Simsek and Talayhan were buried today in their village with a big crowd of their family and friends.
Mehmet Serif Simsek, aged 35 and Abdulcelil Talayhan, aged 37 were taken to Mardin City Public Hospital for their autopsies. HUDA PAR’s deputy head leader M. Bahattin Temel, Sanliurfa’s, Sirnak’s and Mardin’s province leaders were also at their funeral today in Sirnak.
After a long convoy, corpses were carried on shoulders with salaawats and takbirs before they were buried. At the time of bury, members of the public were shouting slogans in favour of Hizbollah against PKK and HDP.
Mullah Besir Simsek made a speech after the burying remarking that Mehmet Serif Simsek and Abdulcelil Talayhan both faithful Muslims sacrificed their lives for Allah. He also said, “The martyrs of Diyarbakir, Cizre, Karliova and now Xanike have been loyal to Islam. And today we promise them here that we will take care of their da’wah of Islam and carry on from where they left it. We will never leave our nation in the hands of these cruel people.”
“We will not obey as those who think we will”
Simsek sent a warning message to the members of PKK and HDP by saying, “We will not obey to these incidents as some of you may think so. You have awakened our people by these incidents.”
“This was not a sudden attack it was done deliberately”
Simsek mentioned that “The attack was planned and those killed were targeted by the PKK as they were threatened in the past. Mehmet Serif’s shop had also been attacked and burnt previously. Therefore, this was not a sudden attack it was done deliberately.”
“PKK and HDP hold a grudge against us. They see us as their biggest enemy because we practice Islam. Their grudge and hatred is to Islam.”
“Where was the government at the time?”
Mullah Besir Simsek also holds the government liable for the incident. He said, “During the 6th and 7th October incidents, the government failed take any action towards the tyranny of innocent people. Murderers of Yasin Boru and his friends are still free. Where was the government at the time? Why is it that they choose to remain silent against the attacks to us?”
Many national press institutions remarked that there was a battle between HUDA PAR and HDP members. However, Simsek strictly denied this “There was no battle! It was a deliberate attack and as a result of this 2 HUDA PAR members have died. If there were a battle, people from the opposite party would have been injured too.”
Simsek spoke some words of condolence to the families of martyrs and concluded his speech with a dua. (ILKHA)
