'My brother forward and got him killed'
The family of Sinan Akyuz (24) who committed suicide in Van last Sunday , spoke to İLKHA news agency . The family stated that their brother was deceived and they would pursue the ones who were involved in this incident and they would take steps jurally.
Pasa Akyuz and Nusret Akyuz the elder brother of Sinan Akyuz spoke to our news agency remarked that,” Our brother was deceived and there were some parties and NGOs behind the curtain so we urge the families to take care their children.”
Stating that,” We have had recourse to prosecution at Van chief public prosecution office.” Pasa Akyuz said that,” we will follow this case jurally.”
Here is what Happened that day
“Sinan called my wife that day at about half past 6 pm. He says bless your rights to me I am leaving in tears .My wife called me after this call had with Sinan and told me what Sinan had said to her.We were at a wedding ceremony with my older brother. I quoted my wife words the my older brother called Sinan many times but he didn’t respond.I left them there and went to the 2 Nisan police station and tolm them about my brother Sinan and made a complaint. No sooner had I left the station my older brother called me and said that they were at home and Sinan hang himself at the roof of the house.He was uttering many times that he would leave us and we guessed that he would go to the outlawed PKK camps in the mountains.” told us Pasa Akyuz.
“The reason of my brother’s death was the ones incent homosexuality “
Stating that “my brother was chosen as a sacrifice “ Pasa Akyuz said “ My brother gave his life because of them .They abused my brother. We don’t accept that. My brother died because of them who incites homosexuality in the society. In fact they committed this suicide. They used my brother as bait to get Pink ID cards. I believe they gave drugs to my brother. They drove my brother forward and got him killed because he was speaking as if he was drunk when we talked to him.”
“We don’t believe the words in his Facebook account belongs to him.” said Pasa Akyuz and added that they are ready to pursue his case in the courts.
The brother of the youth committed suicide call for families to take care their children
Indicating that,” There are a lot of young men like Sinan get wasted if you don’t take care of your children “ Pasa Akyuz called on families “Hereby I remind the mothers, fathers, brothers, to follow where their children go ,with who they have friendship. We didn’t do that but you please, do that and don’t think whether they are at the age of 18 or 20 .Follow them step by step if needed.Be sure that there a lot of Sinans at this wrong way. Protect your children your youth.
Husret Akyuz the older brother of Sinan Akyuz told us what he had through in the time of incident reminding that he was at a wedding ceremony of one of his neighbors.
His last words;” Forgive me, I am done.”
“After Pasa’s wife called us I went out to seek him. I called his phone many times bur he didn’t respond. After that I called him with my little brother’s phone and he answered this time .I asked him where he was .He said to me “forgive me, I am done. You will never see me again.” I begged him not to do something wrong. Let me see you and let’s go home. He replied “no. you will never see me again.” He was crying .What I all thought that he will go to camps in the mountains; I didn’t consider he would commit a suicide. And he hung up.” said Husret Akyuz.
We never used violence against our brother, but he was deceived.
Paşa Akyuz has denied the claims that he used violence against his brother who was a black belt taekwondo sportsman. And said that,” neither me nor 10 people could beat him .He was so strong that he could lift us and put us down so easily when we had fun. He took taekwondo courses between from 16 and to 24. What we did for him to give advice nothing more could we do. But we never committed any violence against our brother. Moreover he was free that he went to gyms and hang around all the time. But they deceived my brother in a way that we didn’t know.
