Topçuoğlu: We have done our own part
Speaking during the commemoration program of Mavi Marmara martyrs Çetin Topçuoğlu, HUDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu said that the believers would be strong if take power from brotherhood, unity, and solidarity.
HUDA PAR President Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu attended the commemoration program organized upon of the tomb of Mavi Marmara martyrs Çetin Topçuoğlu.
Yapıcıoğlu, who participated in the remembrance program in the framework of the programs in Adana, criticized the decision made in the case of Mavi Marmara in the speech he made in the program and said that the believers should only rely on God and put their trust in Him and only if they take their strength from their brotherhood, unity and solidarity they will be strong.
The program started with a brief introduction speech made by Çiğdem Topçuoğlu, the wife of Martyr Çetin Topçuoğlu.
“We have done our own part”
Çiğdem, who stated that her husband Çetin Topçuoğlu who was martyred on May 31, 2010 on the Mavi Marmara ship was buried on June 4, said “This is a very meaningful day for us in this direction.”
“We have made our own part. People say to us, ‘Why are you walking? Will freedom come with a walk? ‘. Well then, let's sit, wait, do not do anything, let's not go there, let's just sit here and pray. Is that so? No, we did what we needed to do.”
“There is no cause of death, nor is there any reason for it”
Speaking later, HUDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu said, "On the anniversary of the martyrdom, we are upon of our martyr's grave today. We really need to be happy on behalf of our brethren who have reached this position. Sooner or later, one way or another, we will deliver these souls which are staying trust with us. We are sure that; when the time of the soul comes to depart from this body, they will separate from each other wherever we are. There is no power to stop it. There is neither cause for death nor reason for death.”
Yapıcıoğlu added that Allah, proscribed to say death for those who lost their live on His own path, said that they are not upset to give martyrs as Muslims.
“If the dismissal of the case happen because of the agreement, I'll cry that day”
Yapıcıoğlu continued his words as follows:
"What really upset us is not that these brothers are martyrs there. Our Palestinian brothers were under siege and the Mavi Marmara fleet was on the way to break that siege. The first time, we felt that zionists could be tried in the courts, decided of capture to be given. We were happy. I gave a brief statement to Euronews after the first stance of the Mavi Marmara case. I said in my own words: 'This step taken is a very big and important step forward. Everyone will know that they are judicial 'and this message has been translated into more than 50 languages, on many social media as short videos on the phone, spread on the internet. We were really hopeful. But I remember one thing: I think it was a trial before the file to come to a decision. There was a short conversation between us in the courtroom with Çiğdem Topçuoğlu. She said: ‘We went together on the Mavi Marmara, we shed our blood together, but we did not shed tears, I will not. But if the dismissal of the case happen because of the agreement, I'll cry that day.’ she said. Yes, their martyrdom did not hurt us, but they gave us pride. But what really hurts us is that the result of the case. They made Çiğdem cry and whole the ummah.” (ILKHA)
