Imprisonment to HUDA PAR executives
HUDA PAR General Vice Presidents M. Bahattin Temel and Sait Şahin and Chief Editor of Rehber TV Fikret Gültekin received a prison sentence of 6 years and 3 months at the end of the proceedings of the plots of FETO judges.
One more shocking decision came out of the calumny cases in which the FETO judge was organized. HUDA PAR Vice Presidents sentenced to 3 years 6 months imprisonment which HUDA PAR has been serving to the public throughout NGOs since 2011 and is an active political party in Turkiye now.
Hasan Bozdaş, case lawyer of HUDA PAR Deputy Chairman Bahattin Temel and Sait Şahin, and Rehber TV Chief Editor Fikret Gültekin, stated that they received 6 years 3 months imprisonment. Bozdaş stated that it is thoughtful and it is known that those people sentenced imprisonment due to the plots and false pretexts organized by FETO on Islamic NGOs and different communities.
On January 17, 2011, Mehmet Bahattin Temel, Sait Şahin and Fikret Gültekin was taken under arrest for allegedly being member of Hizbullah [Turkish] member and manager”; were sentenced to 12 years and 6 months by the organization administration and the file was corrupted by the 16th Criminal Office of the Supreme Court of Appeals. The local court, which reconsidered the file, sentenced the defendants to 6 years 3 months imprisonment for each for “being member of the organization”.
Bozdas said that there is no evidence in the file to require them to be punished. “The defendants are those who carry out civil society services, in this respect also win the community's appreciation and perform important services. It is very thought-provoking when think about their current position in society.” (Emrah Deniz, Abdurrahman Tetik - ILKHA)
