'Let's establish a warm home for poor people'
Gaziantep Hope Caravan [Umut Kervanı] authorities, which attract attention to the fact that many needy families have applied for help to get fuel aid nowadays when the winter season approaches, call the charitable people for help.
Gaziantep Hope Caravan official Nihat Bakşi stated that they want to establish a warm home for poor people and make them happy those who fuel aid need while the air getting cold. Bakşi made a call to charitable people to meet the expectation of those needy families.
Stating that Gaziantep is a big city and at the same time the population increases with the migrations, Bakşi indicating in Gaziantep which is hosting for a large number of refugees especially Syrian refugee families are having difficulty at finding wood, coal, and stove in the hard winter conditions. Bakşi made a call on charitable people that those poor families are expecting a helpful hand in order to meet their needs.
As Hope Caravan they distributing food, clothing, and footwear regularly in every month, Bakşi stated that: "There are thousands of poor and needy families of us applicant. The city of Gaziantep is a big city and it is also hosting for a high number of immigrants, It is a city especially hosting for a large number of the Syrian immigrants. Syrian families who have taken refuge in Gaziantep remain in basement floors and shop-type houses in the suburbs and there are also poor and needy families among our own citizens, who remain in these detached and unused homes. In the same way, they need wood and coal. In winter, we have wood and coal aids for these families. Of course, this depends on the situation donation of philanthropists and make us mediocre."
Referring to their limited opportunities, Bakşi also said: "There are dozens and hundreds of Syrian families who ask for wood and coal. Of course, we want to meet the needs of these families. But we are inadequate, and this depends on the philanthropists. If the philanthropists support us in this situation, we will also provide help to these families."
Bakşi said, "They live in difficult conditions while we lay on our cozy beds. They live in cold houses while we stay in our warm homes. We always visit those kinds of families. There are families who have no wood, coal and even not have a stove. They are families who even not having carpet and blanket. Those families need the stove, duvet, and carpet. It is our demand on this direction that philanthropists need to be sensitive to this issue."
Reminding the hadith of Prophet [PBUH] that, "He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbor to his side goes hungry," Bakşi lastly says: "Let's us give help to those poor families who are struggling against the winter conditions. Let us be a warm room for the poor and needy families. Let us meet their fuel needs. Let us also struggle in this direction. Let's make them a warm atmosphere.
