10 scholars graduated from Diyarbakir
Scholars from south eastern Turkey were given their diplomas for completing their Islamic studies.
Students from Diyarbakir and Siirt, who had completed their studies in their madrasahs graduated with their degrees.
10 scholars graduated from Diyarbakir
10 scholars from Altindag madrasah located in south eastern Turkey, Diyarbakir were granted with diplomas in a ceremony for completing their Islamic studies. Mullah Muhammet Ozer, Zeynelabidin Cicek, other religious leaders, academicians and students from the madrasah joined the graduation ceremony. Rifat Ablay made an opening to the ceremony by reading the Quran following on with qasidas.
Mullah Ozer highlighted that Islamic educational institutions are a way of portraying the right doing for the society. He also mentioned the importance of a madrasahs aim by stating, “Our key goal is to ensure that the students are educated in the best way in accordance with their customs and traditions.” At his speech he explained that during the studies students should also try find solutions for our ummahs day-to-day problems. Ozer remarked, “More schools, universities and other Islamic educational institutions should be opened and supported to spread scientific studies besides religious studies.”
12 scholars graduated from Siirt
Another ceremony took place in Seyh Musa mosque located in southeastern Turkey, Siirt where 12 scholars were granted with diplomas for completing their Islamic studies. Siirt’s governor Mustafa Tutulmaz, Abdullah Isık, Mustazaflar community representatives, AK Party candidate Yasin Aktay and members of the public joined the graduation ceremony.
Abdullah Isık made the opening speech of the ceremony after the Quran was read. Isık said “knowledge requires modesty, it requires act, and may Allah grant them with success in life with their knowledge.”
After the diplomas were given to the scholars, Fatih Ozay gave a speech as a graduate on the virtue of scholars. He mentioned that Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) considers heaven gardens of this world as, “educational institutions and dhikr halaqas.” Ozay also underlined that “the best way of using knowledge is by teaching others, as knowledge is no use if it doesn’t make you follow the route to Allah and his prophet Mohammad (pbuh).”
Knowledge is what distinguishes right from wrong
Fatih Ozay concluded his speech by saying, “Islam requires to gain knowledge, to learn religious studies and aims to dispose ignorance because this allows us to know Allah as well as his commands and prohibitions. Knowledge is an infinite treasure.”
The graduation ceremonies ended with the distribution of the students’ diplomas of Islamic Studies.
