Details of the explosion in Diyarbakır
Details of the explosion that took place in the maintenance repair building of Diyarbakır Security Directorate Riot Force Branch continue to come.
The details of the explosion are continuing to come in the Directorate of Riot Police Headquarters. The same building was targeted before which left 11 dead and 378 wounds. One person lost his life in the explosion, about 60 people are wounded which 4 of them were seriously injured.
It is stated that the explosion occurred during the repair of a panzer, it is thought that the intensity of the explosion is increased by the influence of the natural gas pipes.
Many ambulances, fire units and the UMKE [National Medical Rescue Team] were sent to the scene after the incident. Wounded people were taken to the surrounding hospitals. Approximately 60 people were injured in the explosion, four people who are in serious condition were taken to the Dicle University Hospital.
With the violence of the explosion, the Riot Force repairing building was demolished partly. The crew began to remove the wreckage of the debris.
Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu stated that one person who was seriously wounded in the building and another was remained under debris in the statement he made about the incident.
Diyarbakır Governor's Office announced that a civilian personnel lost his lives in the brief statement they made and announced the detailed explanation will be made later.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also called Diyarbakır Governor Hüseyin Aksoy for information about the explosion.
After the explosion, the civilian vehicles in the vicinity and the houses also suffered great damage.
