'We could not adopt Yasin Börü and Fatima'
IHH Board Member Gülden Sönmez stated that the silence of Muslims caused the case of Fatima Hijeiji, who were murdered by occupation regime israeli police and Yasin Börü.
Gülden Sönmez, Member of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation [IHH], assessed to ILKHA the event that the occupationist regime israeli police killed the Fatima Hijeiji, 16 years old.
Sönmez, who likened the murder of Fatima to the murder of Yasin Börü and his friends during the October 6-7 attacks, said that all of these massacres were upsetting.
Sönmez stated the murder of Fatıma and Yasin Börü were because of the silence of Muslims, “We have witnessed the massacre of young girls and children especially in Jerusalem in the recent period. With the image of Fatima there is a scene that disturbs too many people's conscience. But we need to question the Muslims why these events are happening. As you know, israel has put a new law in place. And this law gives israel very great comfort to the law enforcement officers and also jewish settlers for the use of weapons. We will see that the Palestinians are massacred in many places. At the same time, the law generated such an environment, and the pressures and prisons for the leaders of the Islamic movements in the Palestinian struggle have been realized since then. The Masjid al-Aqsa, Jerusalem and the Muslims living there are weaker than ever. I think this is a great danger. Masjid al-Aqsa's I think it is more vulnerable than ever.” (M.
